His achievements include hundreds of ascents in Tatras.
He has climbed in the Alps, Pamir, Norway, Hindu Kush, Alaska (ascent to Mt. McKinley), the Andes.
Besides expedition to Nanga Parbat he has participated in two expeditions to Makalu, on the second one in 1976 he reached Makalu south peak (8010 m).
He co-organized two expeditions to Mt. Everest in eighties, during the second one in 1988 after ascent via the difficult Bonington route and after reaching the peak by Just four our climbers died during the descent in a windstorm.
