Official Movie Website:

The WSER 100 (Western States Endurance Run 100) is the legendary endurance run that has been organized for more than 50 years in Auburn (California). The route follows the historic original route used by miners in the 1850s and is lined with canyons and an ice-cold river. More than 5,000 meters of ascent and almost 7,000 meters of descent await the competitors. Most of the route is accessible only on foot or by helicopter. Participation in the race is strictly limited to 267 runners and is drawn annually from among many applicants from all over the world.

During the draw in December 2023, almost 9,400 names are up for grabs. Among them is Martin Urbaník, who has been waiting for his lucky draw for 9 long years. He ran 44 ultramarathons and every year in June he organized the 144 km Stefanik Trail ultra race. The tickets are drawn by a legend, five-time WSER winner, Tim Twietmeyer. On the 48th ticket is the name Martin Urbaník. And so, Martin becomes the third Slovak in the history of WSER. His long-time dream is becoming a reality. On June 29, 2024, before dawn, he stands at the start in the Olympic Village and faces 161 km from the peaks of the Sierra Nevada mountains to the bottom of the hot canyons before the finish in Auburn City. Can he reach the finish line before the second dawn to achieve his second dream of finishing within 24 hours?
